What is a Cohort?

A cohort is a targeted group of contacts that meet specific criteria you define. In Influ2, you build cohorts, assign them a tailored journey, and deliver relevant ads and activities to maximize results.

How it works

In Cohort Designer, you apply filters to narrow down exactly who you want to reach. You can segment by:

  • Job title and seniority

  • Company size and industry

  • Location and mailing country

  • Custom CRM fields

  • Deal and opportunity data

You can also exclude contacts—like current customers or competitors—so your budget goes only to the people most likely to convert.

Influ2 syncs with your CRM to automatically gather and include only the relevant contacts.

Example

You're launching a special offer for marketing leaders in North America. Using Cohort Designer, you:

  • Filter for "Chief Marketing Officer" or "VP of Marketing"

  • Select "Canada" and "United States" as mailing countries

  • Exclude your existing customers

  • Influ2 pulls the matching contacts from your CRM

This precision targeting means every program dollar is spent on only the contacts you care about.

Once your cohort is live

Once your cohort launches, the Cohort Performance Dashboard gives you insights so you can learn, adjust, or celebrate success. You'll see impressions, clicks, engagement by content, how contacts move through your journey stages, and more.
