Managing content within cohorts

Last updated: April 19, 2026

Once your cohort is running, you can pause, activate, or archive content to stay responsive to campaign performance. This guide walks you through each action.

Before you start

You need a Manager or Admin user role to edit content within a cohort. Go to any cohort and open its performance view.

Pause content

Pause content when you want to temporarily stop it without deleting it—maybe you're testing something new or running a short campaign. Paused content can be reactivated anytime.

Steps to pause

  1. Find the content you want to pause in the journey stage.

  2. Click the three-dot menu next to the content.

  3. Select Pause.

The content stops serving immediately.

Best practice for switching content

To avoid gaps in ad delivery:
1. Upload and assign new content first.
2. Wait for it to complete moderation (typically 1–2 days).
3. Only then pause the old content.

This ensures uninterrupted ad delivery to your audience.

Activate paused content

If you paused content and want to start it again:

  1. Find the paused content in the stage.

  2. Click the three-dot menu.

  3. Select Activate.

The content is live again.

Archive content

Archive content when you're done with it permanently—maybe it had low CTR, you've been running it too long, or you've created new content. Archived content is hidden from your main view but isn't deleted.

Steps to archive

  1. Find the content you want to archive.

  2. Click the three-dot menu.

  3. Select Archive.

The content disappears from your active list but is still retrievable via filters.

When to archive

  • Content has low click-through rate (CTR) for several weeks

  • Content has been running for months and might be causing creative fatigue

  • You're permanently replacing it with newer creative

View archived content

If you need to see archived content later:

  1. Click the Filter button.
