Understanding Agent WHO

Last updated: June 16, 2026

Agent WHO is Influ2's AI-powered audience builder. Instead of manually configuring filters and lists, you describe your ideal audience in plain language — and Agent WHO does the work of finding matching accounts and contacts for you. The result is a ready-to-activate audience segment, built in minutes.

Overview

Once you start a session, you're guided through a short chat conversation. Agent WHO asks clarifying questions to pin down exactly who you're looking for — company size, location, company category or offerings, roles, and more. As you answer, an Audience Criteria panel adjusts in real time. When all audience criteria are confirmed, the search initiates.

Agent WHO then goes out and finds matching accounts and contacts, surfacing results live as they arrive. When the search is done (or you stop it), the audience is being processed and added to your program — ready to use.

Before you start

Agent WHO must be enabled for your account. If you see it greyed out in the segment dropdown, the feature isn't active on your plan yet — reach out to your Customer Success Manager to learn more.

How to build an Agent WHO audience

Step 1: Add a new segment to your program

Open a program and go to the Cohort tab. Click Add audience and select Agent WHO from the dropdown.

Step 2: Describe your audience in the chat

A slideout panel opens with a chat interface on the left and the Audience Criteria panel on the right.

Type a free-form description of the audience you want to reach — for example: "VP-level buyers at B2B SaaS companies in North America with 200–1000 employees who work in marketing or revenue operations."

Agent WHO will respond with clarifying questions. As you answer, watch the Audience Criteria panel on the right fill in automatically. You don't need to answer in a specific format — just respond naturally.

Keep in mind: if you want to start over at any point, type "start from scratch" in the chat to reset the search and begin again.

Step 3: Review and approve the search

Once all seven fields in the Audience Criteria panel are confirmed, the Approve button activates.

Click Approve to open a summary modal. Here you'll set:

  • Total contacts to find — the maximum number of contacts you want in this audience

  • Max contacts per account — how many people to find per company (up to 100)

The credits cost shown in the modal equals the total contacts to find.

When you're ready, click Start search.

Step 4: Watch results come in

Influ2 automatically moves you to the Audience tab. Accounts appear in real time as they're found, sorted by relevance score.

Each account row shows the company logo, domain, headcount, location, a short description, and a note from the AI explaining why this account matched your criteria. Click any row to expand it and see the individual contacts found at that company, including their name, title, location, and LinkedIn URL.

You don't need to stay on the page — the search runs in the background. Close the slideout whenever you need to; all results will be there when you come back. You'll also get an email once the search is complete.

What you'll see when the search is done

The header status updates throughout the search:

  • "Looking for audience…" — search is actively running

  • "Search complete, processing your audience" — Influ2 is processing the results

  • "Audience is ready to use" — your segment is ready to be used in the Program

Back in your program's Cohorts tab, the Agent WHO segment will show Total, Excluded, and Added counts once processing is complete.

If no accounts matched your description, the segment will show 0 results. Try broadening your criteria and running a new search.

Stopping a search early

If you want to stop the search before it finishes — for example, if you already have enough results — click Stop search on the Run search tab. A confirmation dialog will appear. Once confirmed, no new companies or contacts will be added, and the audience will begin processing with whatever was found.

What's next

Once your Agent WHO audience is ready, it works like any other audience segment in Influ2 — you can activate it in a program, layer it with other segments, and track engagement through your Programs dashboard. If you have questions about credits or want to enable Agent WHO for your account, reach out to your Customer Success Manager or contact our support team.
