Cohort Reach Limits

Last updated: April 18, 2026

A cohort reach limit lets you control how many unique contacts you can reach within each cohort. This helps you prioritize your highest-value audiences and make sure your ad spend goes toward the segments that matter most.

Why use reach limits?

Reach limits ensure your top-priority audiences get the attention they deserve.

Example: You have three cohorts—Healthcare, Finance, and Manufacturing. Healthcare is your top priority, so you set different limits:

- Healthcare: 500 targets
- Finance: 250 targets
- Manufacturing: 250 targets

You can adjust limits anytime to stay flexible and respond to changing business priorities.

Benefits

  • Focused targeting: Make sure your top cohorts get the resources they need

  • Flexible adjustments: Change limits as your strategy evolves to match your reach goals

How Influ2 chooses which targets see ads

Influ2 uses its ML algorithm to calculate the reach probability for each target, then decides who should be actively targeted. This ensures you get the best results in the shortest time while respecting your reach limits.

If a target is in multiple cohorts

Yes, targets are counted separately toward each cohort's reach limit. This means you can include the same person in multiple cohorts while keeping your budgets and results tracking separate.

Example: Marty Smith is reached in the Spring Sale cohort. You also add him to the Spring Campaign cohort. He's counted toward the Spring Campaign's reach limit independently, until marked as reached.

When reach limits refresh

Influ2 calculates and resets your reach limit once per month, based on your subscription and start date. This gives you fresh capacity each month to adjust based on your cohorts and unique needs.

What happens when you add targets to a full cohort

Once your cohort hits its reach limit, newly added targets won't see ads until one of these happens:

  1. The limit refreshes for the month, or

  2. Active targets are deactivated, freeing space for new ones

This approach keeps you flexible—you can add the right targets and maximize your reach limit.
